Ugo Catry

With close to 15 years of experience in the tech space, Ugo is a seasoned investor and board member across Europe and the US.

Before joining Princeville Capital, Ugo was an Investment Director for TotalEnergies Ventures (formerly known as Total Carbon Neutrality Ventures), the corporate venture arm of TotalEnergies, where he co-led the US investment platform and the global mobility practice. In the US, Ugo sat on the Board of Stem (NYSE: STEM), Booster, Getaround, Swiftly, or Scoop.

Before TotalEnergies Ventures, Ugo worked for the solar financing team of TotalEnergies after the company acquired a majority stake in SunPower, one of the largest global solar companies. Ugo participated in the financing of 150MWs of solar power plants in Chile and South Africa. Before joining SunPower, Ugo began his career on the public policy side as a member of the Cabinet of the French minister of Energy and Environment, where he coordinated the French Government policy about innovation in the climate space.

Ugo loves to cook and is an aspiring tennis player and music composer. Ugo holds four Master's degrees in Environmental Engineering, Finance, Business Administration and Public Management from Tsinghua University, Mines ParisTech, HEC Paris and Sciences Po Paris and was selected for the Global Corporate Venturing Rising Stars (2022) and the Cleantech Group's Corporate Investor of the Year (2017).
