Matt is a Managing Partner based in San Francisco.

Before Princeville Global, Matt was a Partner at Princeville’s predecessor fund, SoftBank Princeville, a growth-stage venture fund affiliated with SoftBank Group.  Matt was instrumental in both the fundraising and capital deployment of SoftBank Princeville, sourcing and subsequently involved in investments including Criteo (Nasdaq: CRTO), Kony (acquired by Temenos), and Kabbage.  During his tenure at SoftBank Princeville, Matt was also an active advisor to SoftBank Group, Alibaba, YAHOO! Japan and Sprint Corp. on technology-related ventures. 

Prior to SoftBank Princeville, Matt was a Vice President at Investor Growth Capital, the growth-stage venture arm of Investor AB.  He was actively involved in many of the firm's investments including Dotomi (acquired by ValueClick/Conversant), Greenway Medical Technologies (Nasdaq: GWAY; acquired by Vista Equity Partners), ID Analytics (acquired by LifeLock), Rocket Lawyer, Healthline Networks and Exagrid.  Matt began his venture career at Canaan Partners and was previously a technology investment banker at Credit Suisse and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.

A New York native, Matt lives with his wife and three children in Silicon Valley. Matt holds an A.B. in History with honors from Harvard College, where he graduated in three years and was a member of the varsity swim team.
